Established in 2018, Beds Away is delighted to offer seven very unique and beautiful serviced properties in Oxford available for short term rental. All our excellent abodes are located in the majestic city of Oxford.
Our Ethos
Beds Away came to life because Oxford born and raised owners, David and Velma, had the vision of providing valued guests with a home away from home at the fraction of the cost of a hotel. Not only does Beds Away provide high quality short-term rental options, but our team is also friendly, welcoming, and professional, which is reflected in our guests’ excellent feedback. You can also rest assured knowing that our experienced housekeeping team follow strict cleaning procedures.

Our Accommodation
At Beds Away, we understand that regardless if your stay is for work or leisure, you require more than just a hotel room, and it’s nice to have space to lounge, cook, and even entertain.

Families can be together under one roof with enough room for all, while contractors can have the privacy they deserve in their own space. Our helpful team is just a phone call away, and nothing is too much trouble if you have any special requests.

Our properties are fully equipped and ‘suitcase ready’…
You can stay from two nights upwards and will be provided with regular fresh linen, a fully equipped kitchen (with a dishwasher in some properties) and free onsite car parking.

As well as an ironing board, washing machine and hairdryer, we also provide complimentary superfast WiFi, tea, and coffee.

Our short stay properties are ideal for group weekends, leisure breaks, a romantic weekend away, or serviced accommodation for contractors or business travellers in Oxford.

During your stay, the helpful Beds Away team are always on hand with knowledge of the local area, leisure activities, restaurant recommendations, and much more.

All of our properties are professionally deep cleaned after every stay, and we’re taking extra care to disinfect high touch areas between stays and provide a selection of recommended cleaning products for guests’ use.

Our Terms & Conditions detailed below apply to all accommodation bookings made directly with Beds Away. Beds Away is a trading company of G Clayton Properties Ltd. Therefore, all bookings accepted by G Clayton Properties Ltd (under Beds Away) are subject to these Terms & Conditions and are deemed to have been accepted in full by the lead Guest and their party. The full payment received for the booking is considered as an acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Reference to ‘party’ in these Terms & Conditions refers to the Guest’s family or guests staying in any of our accommodations. The Guest agrees to make his or her party aware of these Terms & Conditions.

Our rates are subject to change without notice, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing

  1. Payment Policy

A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. The remaining 80% is required seven days prior to arrival date. If a booking is made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the full payment is required at the time of booking.

Failure to receive the payment may result in the cancellation of a booking.

Payment should be in GBP.

The card holder must provide valid photographic identification prior arrival. Failure to do so may result in refusal of a stay and guest will not be entitled to a refund.

  1. General Booking Policies

Check-in is between 4pm and 8pm, where we can meet and greet or self check in is available at most properties. The instructions for self check in will be provided after reservation is confirmed and 24 hours before arrival.

G Clayton Properties Ltd operate an age restriction – all guests must be 25 and over. We ask all of our guests to respect the neighbours and their surroundings.  Prior to arrival, photographic identification will be requested, alongside a security deposit in the form of a card pre-authorisation of £200.  Bookings will be cancelled if this is not presented prior to arrival and no refund will be issued.

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold on a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card.  It is not a charge and no funds are debited from the Guests account. The credit/debit card is pre-authorised on check-in via chip and pin.

Unfortunately, no reservations for hen or stag parties will not be honoured at any of our accommodations and will be subjected to a cancellation (no refund will be issued).

  1. Cancellation Policy

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival date before 2pm. Cancellation requests must be made in writing to G Clayton Properties Ltd.

The 20% deposit is refundable if the reservation is cancelled 14 days prior to arrival date before 2 pm. After this time, the 80% balance is taken for all bookings and it becomes non-refundable.

Early departures are treated as cancellations and the guest is not entitled to a refund for the remaining number of nights if the cancelled period is shorter than 14 nights.

Non arrivals are treated as cancellations and you will not be entitled to a refund.

  1. Accommodation Fixtures & Fittings

All of our short stay accommodations come with bed linens and towels. Shampoo and soap. Flat-screen TVs some with DVD players, Sky or Virgin Package.  Complimentary fast broadband.  Fully equipped kitchens with cutlery, crockery and glassware. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar. Full size fridge/freezer, oven/hob, washer, dishwasher (in some accommodation), microwave, toaster, kettle, hairdryer; iron & ironing board; off street parking.

  1. Keys

As standard, we provide only one set of keys to each accommodation.  Any additional keys are provided on request.

  1. Parking

Off street parking is available for free at each property.

  1. Special Requests

All special requests will be considered when allocating bookings but cannot be guaranteed.

  1. Occupancy

The accommodation is only to be occupied by the number of guests stated on the booking form. Any social gatherings are not permitted. If G Clayton Properties Ltd is made aware that the maximum occupancy was exceeded during the stay, Guest will incur a fee of £100 per person.

  1. Conduct and Right to Evict

Any inappropriate behaviour including causing any sorts of nuisance and disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. The guest and their party are responsible for respecting neighbours by keeping the noise to a reasonable level before 11.00 pm and refrain from making noise thereafter. Guests are not permitted to use the apartments for any illegal or immoral purposes. In the event when G Clayton Properties Ltd receives complaints regarding excessive noise or unacceptable behaviour from Guest’s party or where a previous request to comply with rules and regulations are ignored, G Clayton Properties Ltd reserves the right to ask you and your party to leave the property.

In the event when Guest and its party refuse to vacate the property, having been asked by a G Clayton Properties Ltd employee, the police will be asked to attend. The Guest will not be entitled to a refund for the remaining number of nights and additional charges may apply in cases like noise complaints from the neighbours, disorderly or immoral behaviour.

We reserve the right to decline any bookings where we have the reason to believe that the Guest will not use the apartment responsibly or will intend to use our premises for subleasing to generate income.

Angry, abusive, threatening Guests or Guests under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be refused entry.

  1. Damage to the company’s property

The Guest is responsible for taking all reasonable care of the accommodation and its contents. The Guest agrees to keep the accommodation and any of its contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the stay. In case of any damage caused by either negligence or deliberate act of vandalism by the Guest or their party, the card details provided for security deposit will be used for rectifying the damaged plus 20% administration. Should the damage come to light after the Guest’s departure we reserve the right to charge the card details provided upon arrival. Charges may include the loss of revenue if an accommodation has to be placed out of order while the repairs are carried out to return the accommodation to the G Clayton Properties Ltd standard.

  1. Right of Entry

G Clayton Properties Ltd reserves the right to enter the accommodation at a reasonable time in case of any remedial maintenance repairs or inspection or should we have a reason to believe that accommodation is to be used for any dangerous, offensive, noisy or immoral activity.

  1. Cleanliness

The Guest agrees to keep the accommodation reasonably clean and tidy. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable and unclean condition G Clayton Properties Ltd reserves the right to charge the Guest for the excessive cleaning charged at £30 per hour. Guest agrees that any maintenance issues occurred during the Guest’s stay will be immediately reported to G Clayton Properties Ltd to prevent the accommodation or any of its contents from further damage.

  1. Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the properties or its premises. If guest(s) is/are found to violate this policy, there will a fine incurred of £100.00. An additional fee may also be incurred if the apartment needs to be closed for sale due to strong cigarette smell. The additional fee may vary depending on a best available rate the apartment is being sold on that day.

  1. Pets

Pets are not allowed.

  1. Internet Usage

All of our accommodations offer complimentary Internet free of charge. We will not be liable for loss of this service due to connection, environmental or human error and no support service is available.

  1. Cleaning

A weekly clean is carried out for stays longer than 7 nights. A weekly clean includes a change of the linen, towels and general cleaning. Please be advised that washing the dishes and removal of excess rubbish is not included in the service. The day your weekly clean is scheduled will be advised on the day of your arrival.

  1. Lost Property

Lost property will be kept on-site by G Clayton Properties Ltd for the period of two weeks. After that time if the left property is not claimed by the Guest it will be disposed of.

  1. Loss of Guest Property

G Clayton Properties Ltd is not liable for loss or damage to any of Guests’ belongings during the stay in our apartments.

  1. General Information

Images of our accommodation presented on our website and third party websites are for reference only. We reserve the right to amend the content of our website at any time.

  1. Security Statement

  1. Damages made to the accommodation during Guest’s stay will incur a fee.
